Summary

What would the world be like if 80 percent of the population manifested superpowers called “Quirks” at age four? Heroes and villains would be battling it out everywhere! Being a hero would mean learning to use your power, but where would you go to study? The Hero Academy of course! But what would you do if you were one of the 20 percent who were born Quirkless?

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him。 With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U。A。 High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end。 Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny…

I normaly don't enjoy reading mangas if I've already watched the anime, but this one stands on it's own amazingly。 I LvE the ART。 LIttle cinamonroll Midoria's art is pheonomenal!! So is AllMight's so many panels and pages whre I just stopped and stared at how good it looked。Horikoshi is an incredible story tell。 Master craftsman and character developer。I like some of the characters much more in manga from than I did in the anime。 Oracko is much more likeable (sofar) as her own unique character a I normaly don't enjoy reading mangas if I've already watched the anime, but this one stands on it's own amazingly。 I LvE the ART。 LIttle cinamonroll Midoria's art is pheonomenal!! I finally read this series!! Currently watching it and reading the manga after every anime episode I watched! Love the first volume! Although I know it is all setup, it is interesting to remember characters that will show up later in the story 😁。。。

I’ve been trying to read the manga for years, stopping and starting。 I’m finally going to make the time for it。 I love this first volume so much。 I recently rewatched season one of the anime and it’s still so good。

An interesting start, and I'll definitely continue, but this was a little bit naive for me。 I'm saying that like I wouldn't be EXACTLY like the main character in the same situation。。。 An interesting start, and I'll definitely continue, but this was a little bit naive for me。 I'm saying that like I wouldn't be EXACTLY like the main character in the same situation。。。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this manga--the story and world are fantastic。 I'm still learning to focus on illustrations as much as words so I can't say a lot about the former, but the character sketches prior to each chapter really helped me to appreciate how much the author considers the physical depiction of the characters when crafting the story。 I really enjoyed this manga--the story and world are fantastic。 I'm still learning to focus on illustrations as much as words so I can't say a lot about the former, but the character sketches prior to each chapter really helped me to appreciate how much the author considers the physical depiction of the characters when crafting the story。 。。。more

Deku is the perfect hero。 He has great goals and he makes a very good effort to show that he is not quirkless。 He has a good development as the main character。 His thoughts are very trustworthy and confortable。 The actual heros are not good and the villians are not bad。

This took me so long to finish and I think it’s because I’m not used to this genre。 I’m more of a slice of life lover, aha。 I did enjoy seeing the MC’s character development and I’m curious to see how strong he becomes。 But I’m honestly just glad to be finished!Happy reading!

This is my first manga that I read and it didn’t disappoint。It definitely was hard to get into just because of the way that mangas are written but once I got used to the format and art I was really engrossed。

My friend recently got me into the My Hero Academia anime, but as someone who loves reading, I decided to pick up the manga as well。 My heart feels so light; I love this series so much。 It makes me feel all bubbly。 Favorite panel: the one where Midoriya sees All Might up close and remarks that he’s drawn in a totally different style。 Love a good fourth wall break!

Tonya

Just like the anime! Fun, exciting, fast-paced!

Lyra loves this series。 I finally bought her the first 4 for her birthday as she’d like the series to keep, and then I started reading it as she talks about it all the time。 I actually liked it quite a bit。 She says it just gets better, so looking forward to it。

Derek

A solid start to the series。 There are interesting characters and I am excited to see where the plot goes。
